Thorncombe Sports and Social Club - The Sports Club and sports field are on Horseshoe Lane. Thorncombe has a football and cricket team and the club is licensed. The club also has darts, skittles, pool and table skittles. Membership is open to all residents
Thorncombe Village Trust - Thorncombe Village Trust was founded in the 1980’s by a group of local people who saw the need for a non-profit organisation which would work to preserve the area’s special characteristics and rich historical environment. It is now managed by Trustees who are empowered to disburse grants to successful applicants for projects relating to environmental and/or historical aspects of local life. Holditch Hall - Holditch Hall is a charity-run hall for use by the community. It is the venue for the annual Flower Show (which attracts anything between 600 and 800 entries), a Bonfire Night Fireworks display, a Harvest Supper, regular Whist Drives and Bingo Nights. The hall holds up to 100 (seated) or 80 (with tables). It has a well-equipped kitchen and ample car-parking. For bookings etc. contact Mrs. Bunty Turner on 01297 678208

Railway Appreciation - Thorncombe Railway Activities Club (TRAC) was formed in 2000 and serves a varied and growing membership living in West Dorset, East Devon and South Somerset
Youth Club - meets every last Friday in the month in the Village Hall 7:00pm to 9:00pm for ages 8 - 17. For more info contact Brenda Woodman 01460 30204
