The Club meets in the
Village Hall on the Third Wednesday of most months apart from July, August
and December. The summer meetings are outings to venues in the region, and
the December meeting is usually a week earlier because of Christmas. The
club invites speakers from all types of railway groups to give talks and
slide shows. The talks may cover subjects such as Preservation Societies,
Rail Operating Companies, Model Shops or Manufacturers, Railway Photography,
and we have had a number of speakers with experience of working on and with
railways past and present. Being a general interest group allows us to attract
a very wide variety of topics, and there is always something to be learned,
whatever your particular interest. Members presently come from as far a
