Powers and Responsibilities

The actual powers granted to parish councils are very limited. The work of the council consists of commenting on various consultation papers from other authorities; providing local amenities, such as grit bins and the bus shelter; liaison with other authorities on issues such as transport and footpaths; commenting on planning applications.
